Consulting Program Manager

Todd "Spor" Smith

Todd Spor Smith has many passions developed along three cities of varying influence: Atlanta, New Orleans, and San Francisco. Growing up in Atlanta, he played in several bands, worked in nightclubs and music venues while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at Georgia State University.

Always connected to the art and music scene, he lived in New Orleans and taught himself to paint and continued to write poetry and be a part of the vibrant street life, performing in live poetry and short story readings and contributing to several underground literary publications.

In 2003, Todd Spor Smith moved to San Francisco, quickly attaching himself to the restaurant world and immersing himself in wine studies. In 2007 he began managing the world-famous DOSA restaurants and became their Wine Director in 2008. During his ten-year-stint at DOSA, Spor (as he prefers to be called) traveled to South India, connecting to culture and spice origins. He mentored many young employees, developing several into Sommeliers and Managers.

Todd Spor Smith is currently a free-lance writer, consultant and enjoys running wine tours in Napa and Sonoma, CA.
