The major issue is that unfortunately, this section of our society which is the bedrock of our strength as a unit receives close to nothing in terms of proper attention and care.

By this, we are giving back to the community by boosting its morale, keeping children, youth, and young adults productively busy. City Youth Creating Lifelong Experiences henceforward C.Y.C.L.E. Inc will provide a unique twist on services to curb incarceration and create an atmosphere of accomplishment while coercing its clients to choose education as a means to an end as opposed to gang membership and crime. The Prison Industrial Complex has fed off our youth and their vulnerability for far too long. We at C.Y.C.L.E. Inc. strongly believe and vehemently oppose most current methods of handling these marginalized youths. Our plan to succeed with this mission lies within our ability to 'intervene and interject'. Removing some negative aspects of the urban diaspora and supplementing it with positive reinforcement by providing a 'voice' if you will, that for all intents and purposes would otherwise be overlooked and often misunderstood. We will accomplish this by interviewing the most "at risk" of the youth and challenge them to participate in our endeavor. Our approach will technically and clinically focus on mentoring, but we undoubtedly will offer so much more. After selecting a group of individuals (tier 1: 18-25yrs of age/tier 2: 14-17yrs of age), we will seek to pair them with mentors (through our collaborative efforts working with various agencies in the S.F. Bay Area that cares for our senior population). By doing so, we hope to instill our clients with a broader scope of the world as it appears today. And enhance their ability to make positive and constructive decisions that will make ascertaining their goals of receiving a higher education and improving social skills, while creating a sense of individual accomplishment, showcasing their achievements across a vast platform of mediums in the field of art. A unique perspective we will add is through our collaborative efforts. We will also work with local (with an outlook on incorporating nationwide indigenous youth) indigenous tribes as a 'shared social experience'. Both parties can interact and learn social and cultural skills to improve their ability to function at the utmost level in today's society. This will be done by encouraging our clients to engage and then express themselves using one of several mediums of art, be it music, film, creative writing, spoken word, theater, sketch, paint, photography, and creation of handicrafts.
